Mud Run Event: Face Your Fears Mud Run on Feb 23, 2013
Face Your Fears Mud Run

The Face Your Fears Foundation, founded by Thomas Viljac in Bluffton, SC, will host the Face Your Fears Mud Run on February 23-24, 2013. The event will take place at Moreland Landing situated alongside the May River, in the historic town of Bluffton, SC. The event is military focused and benefits four Special Operation Force organizations - the Brothers in Arms Foundation, the US Navy SEALS Foundation, the Lone Survivor Foundation, and the MARSOC Foundation.

There are three courses from which to choose. The Valor course (10 miles), the Courage Course (3 miles), and the Seal Pups course for the younger children (.25 miles). With the exception of the Seal Pups course, each course will consists of man made and natural obstacles designed to push the participants to their mental and physical threshold. Our goal is to provide an experience that mimics the challenges our Special Operation Forces encounter on a daily basis to encourage an appreciation for their service to our country.

This is a challenge, not a race. Those who complete the challenge will receive a set of dog tags and are encouraged to attend the after party. For those who are of age, there will be a cold beer waiting for you at the after party. In addition, there will be a DJ, water and food to enjoy.

We are located in a resort area; And so, unlike other mud runs, we offer something for everyone. You will have the opportunity to challenge yourself, give back to our Special Operation Troops, and enjoy the beautiful natural landscape and all the amenities that a resort area and historic town have to offer.

There is only one question to be asked, are you ready to Face Your Fears?

- The Face Your Fears Team
